  • First appearance at a leading German trade fair since successful merger with Vitesco Technologies
  • The Motion Technology Company’s eight product families showcase its ex-tended product range along the entire technology spectrum
  • Product highlights include angular contact needle roller bearings for robotics, innovative sensor solutions, and components for humanoid robots

At the Hannover Messe 2025, the Motion Technology Company Schaeffler will present its new extended product range and expertise in Germany for the first time. It will be the company’s first appearance at a leading industrial fair following its successful merger with Vitesco Technologies in October 2024. Motion is the core aspect that unites all the company’s products and services. The focus of the exhibit will therefore be on the expanded portfolio – subdivided into eight “product families” – that has resulted from the merger. These cover all areas of motion – from drive technology to energy generation and sustainable service solutions.

Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, explains: “The Hannover Messe is an excellent opportunity to showcase the strategic concept of the 'Motion Technology Company’, which we developed for Schaeffler in the course of the merger with Vitesco Technologies. We aim to become a technology company that designs motion in its full diversity with a focus on the future. In doing so, we are supported not only by our broad technology portfolio, particularly in the manufacturing sector, but also by our newly aligned eight product families, which encompass all business activities of our four divisions. We will leverage cross-divisional synergy potentials even more than before and establish ourselves in future-defining segments. An interesting example of this approach is the rapidly growing field of humanoid robots.”

Product innovations for the industry of the future
In Hanover, Schaeffler will present the innovative XZU angular contact needle roller bearing for lightweight robots and cobots. It offers a compact design, high efficiency and low weight, and was nominated for the fair’s Hermes Award thanks to its outstanding properties. Schaeffler will also be presenting the TorqueSense torque sensor, which enables precise contactless measurement of torque in industrial drive trains thanks to its high resolution and linearity. As a result, for example, construction or agricultural machinery can be precisely monitored and controlled, or industrial machinery can be equipped with overload protection.

Schaeffler sees a particularly high potential in technologies for humanoids, which represent a logical further development of robotics. The company considers itself in a position to offer key components – including bearings, gearbox components, sensors, actuators and electric motors – for this future technology and can make a significant contribution to the development and production of humanoid robots.

Uwe Wagner, Chief Technology Officer of Schaeffler AG, says: “Schaeffler stands for innovative strength and pioneering spirit and will use its expertise to play a key role in shaping future technologies. Our goal is to develop products that make motion smarter, cleaner, and safer. The basis for this is the strong development expertise that has set us apart for decades. The eight product families allow us to draw on expertise from our areas of development and transfer it to new business segments.”

Schaeffler’s technologies will be on display at Booth D18 in Hall 5 from March 31 to April 4, 2025. There will be a press briefing at this booth on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. Schaeffler will also have a booth (E41/1) in Hall 13, where the spotlight is on solutions for the production and use of hydrogen.
