Introduction of Windchill+ PLM expands strategic partnership between Schaeffler and PTC

For the past ten years, Schaeffler has utilized PTC's product development software. This implementation has enabled the development of advanced and differentiated automotive solutions, such as engine, transmission, and chassis systems, as well as electric drives.

With PTC's software solutions, Schaeffler defines hardware and software requirements for products using ALM (Application Lifecycle Management). Products are designed with CAD, product configurations are managed in PLM, and data is integrated into manufacturing processes with PLM-based solutions like Windchill Navigate™.

Implementation of the Windchill+® PLM solution

As part of a broader cloud-based transformation strategy, Schaeffler migrated from its previous Windchill® environment to a cloud-based Windchill+ environment. This allows teams worldwide to leverage the benefits of the cloud in terms of deployment speed, updates, and collaboration.

Schaeffler has been a leading industry player for over 75 years and recognizes the importance of continuous digital transformation to deliver top-quality products to its global customers. Accelerating the product development process and consistently implementing a cloud-first strategy are among our top priorities, and our longstanding collaboration with PTC plays a crucial role in this. Future collaboration with PTC

PTC and Schaeffler will intensively collaborate on AI-driven product development initiatives in the future. The goal is to utilize the product data managed by PTC's product development solutions to further accelerate Schaeffler's development process.
